I feel like it’s impossible to be completely unaffected by fame. I mean, how??? Especially for a Hollywood power couple like Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard. Date night is a red carpet, being relentlessly called at my photographers, and reporters gawking at your every move. Casual. You would think two celebrities in a relationship would feed each other’s egos and/or unwillingly become even a tad jaded. That couldn’t be further from the truth with these two, though, and how they remain so damn real is beyond me.
Not only are they down-to-earth, but in a world of sickening, over-controlled PC proportions, they’re unusually transparent. While most publicists are probably rolling in their graves about the shit these two do and say (namely about sex, etc.), Kristen and Dax survived 10 years in the business together and are still gong strong. But how? In short:
They don’t allow the other to buy into Hollywood bullshit.

They keep each other in check. At the CHIPS premiere, I had these guys open up on if and how money and fame has affected them (clearly, not very much), how they’d deal going back to having no money, and how they stay so refreshingly fucking grounded.
