I can’t wholeheartedly believe that athletes who have such beautiful, sculpted bodies for their sport don’t also let their looks get to their head. Look at the Sports Illustrated Body Issue alone — keeping it right and tight is part of their publicized image.
And if I looked like most of them I’d probably make love to a mirror.
But what happens one day if and when those gorgeous bodies that they’re used to and proud of fade — when the sag starts creeping and beer guts start popping?
I spoke to a handful of professional athletes, male and female, to see what they had to say and their answers surprisingly varied. They include NFL stars Tony Jefferson of the Baltimore Ravens and Chris Harris Jr. of the Denver Broncos, Track and Field Olympian Sydney McLaughlin, WWE Wrestlers Summer Rae and Lana, NBA star Corey Brewer of the LA Lakers, basketball star Michael Porter Jr.
