So, I was on a red carpet the other night when someone I interviewed apologized to me. Why? They basically put me in a stereotype box and realized it after the fact. Oh, you pretentious Hollywood, you. This person said women are taught sexual pleasure is only offered to those who are “cute, sexy, young, hot, blonde enough.” That’s when the apology came in. “I just described you,” they said. No offense taken, I guess?
In a world where “diversity” dominates the conversation (as it should), let it be known: The seemingly “perfect, cute, blonde” girls get judged, too.
I do not have a popping sex or love or social life OR life because I’m young, curvy, and blonde. I am not perfect because I am young, curvy, and blonde. Fittingly, I met Kristin Chenoweth, a 4’11”, petite, blonde, bubbly, successful woman, just days later. Yep, I went there with her.
Here’s what Kristin has to say about getting judged by her appearance and saying fuck it to just do her. #Inspo for days, #Inspo for years.
We get each other.
