It feels like actors always date other actors. (Seriously, leave some for the rest of us, guys.) But why? We’ve all wondered, right? Like peasant-people relationships, celeb relationships are all individual. Maybe some are publicity stunts, feeding into the beast that is fame. Perhaps others come about because they just “get” each other. Celebrity relationships have always been all the rage, and while we have our theories, I need some real answers.
A couple of young actors, Haley Lu Richardson and Brett Dier, who happen to be a couple, help explain.
Takeaway 1: For Haley and Brett, being actors had nothing to do with their romance.

Literally nothing. Haley (who’s been in films like Edge of Seventeen and Split) and Brett (our husband in Jane the Virgin) both say they rarely even hang out with actors in real life, and definitely didn’t go out of their way to date one. Interesting.
Takeaway 2: A lot of actors also end up alone.

Yikes. But it’s true. We watch celebrity relationships fail harder than Trump’s spellcheck on the reg, and as these two point out, it’s definitely a sacrifice that comes with fame.
Check out what they have to say in the video, and let me know what you think. Would you guys be open to dating a famous actor? I have some thoughts on that myself. *Jaded*
