You never know what you’re going to get out on a red carpet. Not that this is new information, you smart cookie, you. Sometimes, celebs will have you take your shoes off because they feel like it/because they’re celebs and can do whatever TF they want. Other times, they’ll straight-up call you weird. I was lucky enough to have both of those instances happen and then some in my brief meeting with It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia‘s Charlie Day, Danny DeVito, and Kaitlin Olson. Lucky me, eh?
It got weird out there, but what the hell else did you expect?
The FXX fave Always Sunny and its characters are synonymous with weird, so it was only appropriate that things got a little freaky. And if they didn’t, well then, I’d just be disappointed and maybe even a little pissed, tbh.
When I told Danny his co-star Charlie called me weird (in a good way, I think, since I lived like it was 1999 that day) Danny, being the gem that he is, smiled, nodded, and gave me a hug. He was either politely confirming Charlie’s statement, or was thinking to himself, “Yep, you’re hopeless AF,” which carried out in the form of an ambiguous shrug.
Danny, if you’re listening, which was it? I need answers.
Let weirdness prevail in 2017 and beyond.
