Gina Rodriguez’s Six Words Will Get People Who Call Us Picky to STFU

in My Selfie Stick, Relationships on 01/02/17

It’s 2017, and I’m still sick of people being on my ass for being too “picky” about men. I value myself, my time, and my life way too much to go through the motions with some dude for the sake of having someone. Check, please and thanks.

I value men with real drive and aspiration, who can challenge and motivate me but also treat me like a fairy princess. *Hair flip* So all of you calling me picky, remember that when your man is picking his beer gut on the couch in a few years from now and you’re pissed as shit. Just saying.

But it’s true as hell! Why are we shamed for holding off? Because we’re proud of our worth? Because we’re holding out for someone who matches up, or better yet exceeds our expectations? Nah, absolutely not.

We should pride ourselves on our actions, not feel judged or looked down upon. And when that man comes along, you’ll be the one getting the last laugh.

Gina Rodriguez, you are forever bae.
