I was always a confident person, knowing exactly who I was and that only I was in control of my life and my body. I knew these things, but I’m not sure I completely believed them. But in October of 2015, one day changed that indefinitely. I attended Amber Rose’s Slut Walk in LA and had a wake-up call about just how powerful I am—sexuality, brains, and body included. I have to tell you, since then my self-assurance and liberation have only grown stronger by the day. I’ve never seen body type, authenticity, and sex celebrated so greatly. Amber Rose and her empowering message instilled a fire in me that continues to ignite beyond that day, and I’ll always be grateful.
Luckily, I have a memento from the Slut Walk that makes me remember exactly how revived I felt on that day and I feel like a boss every damn time I wear it. It’s a sports bra that says, “Still not asking for it,” from the line supporting the Amber Rose Foundation. Now, Amber wants others to feel this instant badassery, which is why she has a pair of MeUndies that symbolize everything she stands for.
But this is more than just a bra, just like Amber’s MeUndies are so much more than a pair of underwear.
With phrases like Whore-able, Flawed and Flawless, Thotful, and Certified Slut written on them, anyone wearing these underwear will believe what they see and in turn embrace the glory of their flaws, power, and sluttiness—and that is a priceless, beautiful thing.

Amber’s MeUndies are another vehicle for us to preach the power of equality, strip ourselves of stereotypes, and turn negative connotations on their head. And by the way, one-hundred percent of the proceeds go to her non-profit, the Amber Rose Foundation.
In the spirit of her new venture, Amber exclusively answers these six questions proving how powerful a pair of underwear can be:
1. How do you hope people will feel in your MeUndies?
They will feel empowered and sexy.
2. What type of underwear makes you feel sexiest and why? Do you have go-tos for different moods or occasions?
I really like the cut of the boy shorts. They feel very sexy on my curves.
3. Do you feel vulnerable without underwear?
Sometimes you just can’t wear underwear with certain outfits but most of the time I love comfortable, soft undies.
4. Why is underwear such a powerful and playful thing, especially when you’re having sex (or about to)?
Underwear are sexy because it’s one layer away from your skin.
5. How have you felt more empowered in day-to-day life since starting your movement?
Just the fact I’m finally living my life for me and no one else. Knowing that I inspire so many different women is truly an honor.
6. If you ever do get down or discouraged from slut-shaming, what’s your mantra?
I don’t get down from slut-shaming. I’m past that point in my life.
And as impactful as Amber has been on me and so many countless women out there, our stories affect her, too. “Every woman has their own story which is very important,” she says. “No story is greater than another.” So when you get Amber’s MeUndies, post a photo and tag @strippingdowncelebs so we can see how bomb you all look. Get stripping, get posting, and feel empowered.
