I had the very literal pleasure of sitting down with underrated bae Casey Affleck last year while he was on the campaign trail for Triple 9. He plays a badass cop in the movie, therefore, it was necessary to get inside his head and see if he could ever give up a pretty Hollywood life of glamour to be in streets, preventing crime. Because how attached are actors to their roles, anyway? Without trying to be tough, he straight-up says no.
Oh yeah, being a cop is more than a hot uniform.
Not only did I appreciate the actor’s transparency, but his evident attention to detail and research of what goes into being a cop in real life. He tips his hat to real police officers, however, doesn’t pretend for a second that he could actually rough it as one. Honestly? I respect it. This doesn’t mean he’d look any less sexual in a cop uniform. Just saying.
Consequently, I had my fun with him regardless of the semi-serious topic. Casey and I sort of played Cops and Robbers. We talked brother Ben Affleck. We did it all… With a very loose definition of “all,” obviously.
The question remains: was he having my shit or not? Really, I still can’t tell. Maybe his voice is a trance and this whole thing never actually happened. I don’t know. Yet I do know this: Casey Affleck, I appreciate TF out of you. Marry me or nah?
