Alessia Cara is beast in the music biz. She’s seriously crushing the game and this chick is only 20 years old. You may not think someone like Alessia, hitting up carpets on the reg, performing at major arenas, collaborating with music icons, (and let’s face it, probably has a good chunk of change), would have the same effed-up problems the rest of us millennials deal with.
Because most days, I feel like an actual walking meme.

And as successful as Alessia Cara is, her millennial problems actually aren’t so far off. Homegirl deals with a lot of the same stuff we do: the need to make our lives look perfect because social media is satan’s work, the constant pressure to act a certain way, and oh yeah, the pressing notion of settling down because everyone from your high school is already popping out their third kid.

Alessia also talks about forgetting how to carry out basic human functions (like having a social life), mostly because of being a workaholic. At this point, I damn near made out with her. You guys know I bust my hump and run into issues constantly trying to figure out a work-life balance (which I’ve decided is crap, while you’re still young).
In short, Alessia Cara is the mood. In fact, she’s basically you.
