I’d be lying to you if I said I couldn’t rehearse Laguna Beach season 1 and 2 in their entirety. But I won’t lie because I’m an upright citizen who loves you all too much to do that. Right?
Right.
So when I met the ultimate soul sister Kristin Cavallari, I let her know it. I mean, my best friend Chris and I have a dialogue that consists 99-percent of obscure LB quotes. I owed it to him, myself, and this LB-obsessed country. God bless.
But that said, I wondered if continuing to get LB questions annoys Kristin. It’s been 10 years and she not only has flourishing business ventures, but a growing family of her own. That bar in Cabo is long gone, my friends.

I continue to see headlines from people asking Kristin about the show, and I’m clearly guilty too. Everyone’s doing it. We won’t give it up. But after talking to her about it, I realized she totally gets it. Does she low-key think our fascination with her high school life is a little insane? Def. But I can’t say I blame her. Not only is the show iconic because *high school* *innocence* *shade* *nostalgia*, but because of Kristin’s role in it. And she’s completely humbled by that, by the way.
When I told her my friend and I quote her, she replied, “I’m sorry.”
Bottom line: We’ll probably keep asking Kristin about Laguna Beach, and she’ll probably keep judging us in her mind while she’s living her own damn life. Which made her so iconic to begin with.
