I love how little fucks actress Ashley Rickards has to give. That’s an accomplishment in LA. Everyone cares way too much about image, being seen, hot yoga, and all that nonsense, which is why this one right here is a gem. Also, I should not talk shit on hot yoga, because it’s amazing.
So on the carpet for the new movie The Outcasts, which breaks down labels (particularly in the high school hierarchy), I had Ashley recognize her “hippie” stereotype and in turn, she owns it. I’ll admit, I would think of anyone who embraces yoga, meditating, juicing, kale, juicing kale and all of that BS as a total LA cliche. You’re not seeing that shit out in New York, let’s be honest.

And to Ashley, yeah, those things may play into a stereotype. But so be it.
She calls her spirituality her religion. If you want to joke about it, then fine, but she takes it seriously and also owns the fact that kale has just become a part of her LA journey. She’ll laugh it off with you, but she knows what’s really up and she doesn’t care if people judge her for it.

But she’s really like:
Boom.
And she was a spiritual person before even emerging in Hollywood. So take that, LA. #WeAreMore than labels.
