OK, so if I’ve learned anything lately (it’s summer, let’s not be too optimistic about that), it’s that you seriously don’t have to kill yourself to feel and look super glam. Lately, I’ve been really over the whole run-to-Bloomies-to-get-outfits-for-an-event-you’re-gonna-end-up-returning-anyway bit. Instead, I’ve been trying to pull together looks from things I already have, and I totally winged it for the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards red carpet and show.
Truth be told, though…
I actually did borrow a dress to rent for the day last minute, and it didn’t end up fitting. So I said fuck it and pulled together an all-black, simple look from what I had. It’s by no means a gown, but I’ll tell you what: It’s maybe the best I ever felt on a carpet. And look,
Shit doesn’t have to be expensive!
That necklace I’m wearing? SIX BUCKS. The top? I think $12. As much as I would like to pour my life savings into REVOLVE clothes, it’s just not doable for a lot of us… yet 😉
