Dating as a twenty-something in 2016 is a struggle-and-a-half. On a good day. Therefore, I’m hopeless AF, OK, there I said it. But even when we try to act like we’ve over it, we are so not. Because who doesn’t want to be in a happy relationship with a human instead of the Taco Bell drive thru for once in their life? Isn’t it great being a millennial?… Anyway, I can’t imagine what these pressures (and confusions) would be like when you’re also on the road, putting on shows for thousands of strangers around the world every night. So, when I sat down with Demi Lovato and DNCE members Joe Jonas, JinJoo Lee, Cole Whittle, and Jack Lawless at their concert exclusively for Marriott Rewards Members in LA, I asked them straight-up. How is it being on the road while also trying to maintain a serious relationship?
What’s hilarious is that they all have different answers. Mood as hell, or what?
See, even though these guys are super talented, famous, hot, and rich, even they don’t have their love lives sorted out. (Well, Jack’s had a woman for a while now, so is probably laughing at as all.) Because who the hell knows these days? It’s confusing. And it seems being recognized and adored around the globe doesn’t sort things out for you. They are all of us, guys. And like, hi.
I wouldn’t have much figured out either, tbh. I’d be living.
Oh yeah, and if you were wondering how everything played out after I temporarily got laid off/bashed my head right before this interview? Turns out, it was pretty fucking great. As are Demi and DNCE.
LOL, god. You win.
